The
2006 Honda Civic Hybrid is 5-passenger family sedan with 4
door and powered primarily by a 110-horsepower
four-cylinder gasoline engine with i-VTEC technology. The Civic
Hybrid integrates features from Civic Sedan EX and adds a 1.3-liter
i-VTEC 4-cylinder engine with Integrated Motor Assist, automatic
climate control, 15-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels, P195/65 R15 low
rolling resistance tires, special hybrid badging, rear lip spoiler,
side mirror turn signal indicators, two-tone seating surfaces, IMA
system meters (fuel economy, battery level and charge/assist) and
automatic climate control. Compared to the Civic Sedan EX, a
moonroof and folding rear seat are not available in consideration of
weight savings and IMA packaging. Honda civic Hybrid has improved
gas/electric power train that generates more power with enhanced
fuel economy and reduced exhaust emissions.

Hybrid owners are known for their smart thinking; now the
all-new 2006 Civic Hybrid comes with even smarter styling to match.
All that sizzle still earns an Advanced Technology Partial
Zero-Emission Vehicle (AT-PZEV) rating, so you can save on gas while
enjoying amenities like the new multi-tiered instrument panel, a
sophisticated audio system, and available navigation system. Front,
side and side curtain airbags help the future look even brighter.
With all that going on, it's time to start thinking about the Civic
Hybrid in a whole new way.
The Civic Hybrid debuted in 2003. The new 2006 Honda
civic hybrid averages 50 miles per gallon for a combination of city
and highway driving. Honda is targeting 28,000 sales for the 2006
model year which is about 10 percent of total Civic sales in 2006.
The 2006 Civic Hybrid has earned top safety
rankings from NHTSA and IIHS as it uses multiple "load
paths" to limit penetration of the car's structure by absorbing
more of the crash energy so whatever energy gets through is
mitigated by the car's eight standard air bags for more safety. The
Civic Hybrid deactivate ALL of its cylinders when they are not
needed, during this time the electric motor alone powers the vehicle
and saves the gas. Honda Civic Hybrid has optional navigation system
with voice control, Telescopic steering wheel, Input jack for MP3
player and Unique hybrid rims.
